Presidents Training

Starting out as the President of your local can be overwhelming. We'll provide you with a guide to the Presidency, complete with activities and suggestions to help your term run smoothly. The School will focus on developing a strong local, running effective meetings, legal concerns for the president, communication styles, media relations and calendar planning.

 

Summer Leaders Conference

Each year in June, The SCEA holds its annual Summer Leaders Conference. Members from all over South Carolina attend sessions in Leadership Training and a variety of other professional development sessions. 

 

Treasurer's Training
(Contact Constance Higginbotham)

This training covers developing local budgets, operating policies and procedures, internal controls, conflict of interest, code of ethics, whistle-blower and investment policies, reporting, dues reconciliation and banking relationships, regulatory reporting with focus on tax-exempt status, etc.
