The SCEA 2024 Elections

During the 2024 election cycle, members will elect an NEA Director, District Directors to serve on the Executive Board for three The SCEA UniDistricts and fifteen (15) delegates to represent The SCEA at the NEA Representative Assembly.

NEA Director

The NEA Director serves a three year term. Candidates must have been a member of the NEA for at lest two years immediately preceding the election and shall maintain membership throughout their term of office. A description of NEA Director duties can be found here.

The SCEA State Delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly

The 2024 NEA Representative Assembly will be from July 3rd-7th in Philadelphia, PA. Any active full-time or part-time member may run. Candidates must run as either a certified/non-certified candidate or an administrator candidate.

State Delegates will conduct the business of the association at the National Representative Assembly, and therefore must follow the State Delegate Accountability System. 

The form for nomination is available as download as either a Word document or fillable pdf at the bottom of this page. The deadline for nominations is November 17, 2023.

Room rates are $189/night per room, plus taxes and fees. Check in 7/1/24 and check out 7/6/24. The SCEA will provide a stipend for state delegates; however, that stipend may not cover the entire cost of travel.
