The South Carolina Education Association (The SCEA) announces the results of its recent statewide elections, introducing a dynamic team of leaders committed to advancing public education and supporting educators and students across the state.
Newly Elected Officers:
● President: Dena Renee Crews
With 24 years of experience in education, Ms. Crews specializes in Elementary Education and currently serves as a literacy coach at North Vista Elementary in Florence 1. A passionate advocate for educators, she previously held the role of Vice President for The SCEA.
● Vice President: Dr. Karen Greene
A high school chemistry teacher from Berkeley County with over 25 years of teaching experience, Dr. Greene currently teaches at Stratford High School. As the current Secretary-Treasurer for The SCEA, she aims to pursue new growth opportunities to increase membership and promote public education.
● Secretary-Treasurer: Roselyn Green
From Florence, Ms. Green began her career as an Education Support Professional before becoming certified in Special Education. With prior experience as a board member of The SCEA and significant expertise in budgeting and tax preparation, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
