Public school retirees (administrators, teachers, teacher assistants, and others) are invited to join The South Carolina Education Association-Retired. We work to make sure that retired public school employees continue to get the best benefits during their retirement years. Retired educators must stand together and be vocal when there are attacks on our pension program, health insurance benefits, and other issues that we worked so hard to make sure that we would enjoy in our retirement years.
The SCEA-R Delegate Assembly is Wednesday, October 11, 2017 with registration and an information fair at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided to all delegates, non-delegates, and invited guests. NEA Member Benefits Field Representative Aaron Warner will be the featured speaker giving ideas for saving money with NEA's Member Benefits. Potential members are welcome to come.
The SCEA-Retired Legislative Program addresses the need for retired public school educators to actively advocate for education and benefits for retirees. Members of The SCEA-Retired recently visited the state capitol and asked members of the House of Representatives and the Senate for their support on the issues important to The SCEA-Retired.
